2 Corinthians 7 : 10

 2 Corinthians 7 : 10 - For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. Repentance, not just remorse is the right response to sin.  Judas had remorse, but Peter repented. God is looking for behavior that keeps with repentance instead of just remorse over sin.
