Jeremiah 2 : 13
Jeremiah 2 : 13 - For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.
"Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring." To the pilgrim, "Baca" means weeping. As we go through our pilgrimage in this life, we have valleys of weeping at times. As you go, do you leave a blessing for others, or expect others to bless you? God gives us strength each day we walk with Him!
Every time we turn from the Lord and think that something or someone else will satisfy our deepest need, we carve out broken cisterns. It's time to turn TO God's ways not FROM them.
